Bi-directional control/Active test (Free)

Bi-directional testing capability and is able to perform active tests to access vehicle-specific subsystems and component tests. The tester sends commands to the ECU to drive actuators to determine system or part integrity by reading ECU data, or by monitoring actuator operation. For example, the x431 v has the ability to actuate relays, injectors, coils, or perform system tests, etc. It can also actuate solenoid valves.
